The rapid growth of padel in the United States reached another exciting milestone with the Nike x NOCTA Manor event in New Jersey, where some of the world’s biggest names in sports and entertainment came together to celebrate the future of the game.
Building Padel on Existing Tennis Courts
One of the biggest challenges of this unique project was transforming two existing hard tennis courts into a world-class padel venue in just 3 days.
The Padel Box coordinated the construction of a custom platform system designed specifically for the event, creating the proper foundation to accommodate the temporary installation while protecting the existing tennis surface.
Managing Every Detail
Our team was responsible for coordinating the complex logistics required for an event of this scale, including:
- Transportation and site logistics
- Crane scheduling and heavy lifting operations
- Installation sequencing
- Coordination between multiple contractors and suppliers
- Project management to ensure everything was completed on schedule
Thanks to careful planning and teamwork with our East Coast partner Valenti Construction, every phase of the project was completed efficiently, allowing the event to open on time.
Nike’s First Step Into Padel
The event also marked a significant milestone for the sport, as Nike unveiled the design of its first-ever padel racket collection. The brand showcased three prototype models—Command, Attack, and Balance—giving guests an exclusive first look at Nike’s future in padel.
With professional players such as Agustín Tapia and Juan Lebrón, together with athletes including Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Drake, the event highlighted Nike’s commitment to becoming a major player in one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.
